After a string of three wins, Osawatomie's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wellsville Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16.

Charlotte Lawless paced Osawatomie's offense, picking up three kills. Lawless got some help from Lexie Palmer and her five assists. Lawless was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Wellsville found their leader in sophomore Kailynn Rice, who had 12 digs and one assist. Rice has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

Osawatomie's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Wellsville, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Osawatomie has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Marais des Cygnes Valley on the 4th. As for Wellsville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Pleasant Ridge on the 4th.
