Hayden Lewis had a dynamite game for North Valleys, rushing for 162 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. Another player making a difference was Mikole Almond, who threw for 179 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes.
Meanwhile, Galena faced Damonte Ranch in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Galena came out on top against Damonte Ranch by a score of 21-14.
Colson Kermode looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 76 yards and two touchdowns. Matt Ritenhouse made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Galena's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as Colby Crossman, Kermode, and Kermode picked up one apiece.
