Preview: Clear Springs Chargers vs. Dickinson Gators

The Clear Springs Chargers will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Dickinson Gators at 7:00 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Clear Springs has struggled recently with ten defeats in a row, while Dickinson will arrive with 13 straight victories.

Last Wednesday, Clear Springs lost to Clear Brook at home by a decisive 56-41 margin. Clear Springs has not had much luck with Clear Brook recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite the loss, Clear Springs saw an underclassman step up: Kaitlyn DeBondt scored six points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks. DeBondt is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Amirah Gray, who scored 14 points along with two blocks.

Meanwhile, Dickinson stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They really took it to Clear Brook for the full four quarters, racking up a 90-50 victory on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-22.

Clear Springs has been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-22 record this season. As for Dickinson, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.

Clear Springs took a serious blow against Dickinson when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 85-25. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Clear Springs was down 33-13.
