Recap: Tri-State Christian Crusaders vs. Elkton Golden Elks
The Tri-State Christian Crusaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 45-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elkton. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tri-State Christian in their matchups with Elkton: they've now lost three in a row.
It was another big night for LeeAnn Pugh, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds for Elkton. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Beougher, who scored 14 points.
Tri-State Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Elkton, their victory bumped their record up to 1-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-State Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Tower Hill at 4:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Tower Hill is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Elkton, they will head out on the road to face off against North East at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
