Soccer Game Preview: Wake Prep Academy vs. Henderson Collegiate

The Wake Prep Academy Guardians are taking a road trip to challenge the Henderson Collegiate Pride at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wake Prep Academy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Wake Prep Academy was handed a four-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They never let Falls Lake get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Wake Prep Academy wouldn't have won without Brenna Barnes, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Henderson Collegiate's offense. They came up short against Voyager Academy on Monday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Henderson Collegiate can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 424th, while Voyager Academy are ranked 121st).

The victory snapped Wake Prep Academy's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4-1 record. As for Henderson Collegiate, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
