Softball Recap: Peoria Heights Takes a Loss

Peoria Heights fell victim to Illini West and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 17-0. The Patriots were not able to make up for their loss to the Chargers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Peoria Heights now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Illini West, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season.

Peoria Heights will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Farmington at 4:30 p.m. on May 4. As for Illini West, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-4 loss against Brimfield on the 29th.
