Basketball Recap: Friendly Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Friendly had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 65-63 win over College Park Academy on Monday. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered a 46-41 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Friendly was led to victory by Anthony Ross and Joel Danquah. Ross went 6 for 15 en route to 17 points, while Danquah went 7 of 11 on his way to 15 points and five steals. That's the most steals Danquah has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nijel Trice, who posted seven points.

Friendly's victory bumped their record up to 4-12. As for College Park Academy, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Friendly didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-45 loss against Fairmont Heights on the 4th. As for College Park Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 94-25 defeat against Oxon Hill on the 4th.
