Leggett proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 63) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Burkeville Mustangs, sneaking past 51-48. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won six in a row.

Leggett's win bumped their record up to 10-19. As for Burkeville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

Looking ahead, Leggett will welcome Brookeland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Brookeland will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Leggett surely won't give up without a fight. As for Burkeville, they are taking a road trip to face off against Hull-Daisetta at 7:09 p.m. on Tuesday.
