Basketball Game Preview: Effingham County Rebels vs. Glynn Academy Terrors + How To Watch

The Effingham County Rebels will venture away from home to face off against the Glynn Academy Terrors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Effingham County will be strutting in after a win while Glynn Academy will be coming in after a loss.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Effingham County and South Effingham meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Rebels managed a 43-37 victory over the Mustangs. That six point margin sets a new team best for the Rebels this season.

Effingham County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Scruggs, who posted ten points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jordan Williams, who put up 11 points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Glynn Academy came up short against Richmond Hill on Tuesday and fell 52-42. The Terrors haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Glynn Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Effingham County, they pushed their record up to 3-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Effingham County couldn't quite get it done against Glynn Academy in their previous matchup last Tuesday as they fell 64-54. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Terrors' Travis Young, who went 7-for-14 on his way to 19 points and three steals.
