Basketball Game Preview: Grand Canyon Phantoms vs. Red Rock Scorpions

The Grand Canyon Phantoms will take on the Red Rock Scorpions at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Red Rock took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Grand Canyon, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Grand Canyon made easy work of Mayer and carried off a 49-27 win. The Phantoms have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 77 points the game before, Red Rock was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Camp Verde and fell 48-20. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Scorpions have suffered against the Cowboys since December 21, 2018.

Grand Canyon is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. As for Red Rock, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10.
