Football Recap: Pflugerville Connally Falls to Rouse in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Pflugerville Connally unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 55-33 to the Rouse Raiders on Friday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Pflugerville Connally's loss came despite strong showings from Jase Watkins and Rahsaan Franklin. Watkins threw for 232 yards and four TDs, while Franklin picked up 153 receiving yards and three scores.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rouse to victory, but perhaps none more so than London Morgan, who threw for 375 yards and six touchdowns while completing 76.7% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Morgan a new career-high in passer rating (157.6). Joshua Park also helped out as he racked up 159 rushing yards.

Looking ahead, Pflugerville Connally is taking a road trip to challenge Taylor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rouse, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Liberty Hill at 7:00 p.m.
