Football Recap: Pflugerville Connally Comes Up Short at Home Against Rouse + How To Watch

Pflugerville Connally unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 55-33 to the Rouse Raiders on Friday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Despite the loss, Pflugerville Connally had strong showings from Jase Watkins, who threw for 232 yards and four touchdowns, and Rahsaan Franklin, who picked up 153 receiving yards and three scores.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rouse to victory, but perhaps none more so than London Morgan, who threw for 375 yards and six TDs while completing 76.7% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Morgan a new career-high in passer rating (157.6). Joshua Park was another key player, rushing for 159 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Coming up, Pflugerville Connally will square off against Taylor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rouse, they will challenge Liberty Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
