Football Recap: Pflugerville Connally Comes Up Short at Home Against Rouse + How To Watch

Pflugerville Connally unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 55-33 to the Rouse Raiders on Friday. The Cougars have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Pflugerville Connally had strong showings from Jase Watkins, who threw for 232 yards and four TDs, and Rahsaan Franklin, who picked up 153 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Rouse's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was London Morgan, who threw for 375 yards and six touchdowns while completing 76.7% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Morgan a new career-high in passer rating (157.6). Joshua Park was another key player, rushing for 159 yards and a pair of scores.

Looking ahead, Pflugerville Connally will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Taylor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rouse, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Liberty Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
