Recap: Mica Mountain Thunderbolts vs. Rio Rico Hawks
The Mica Mountain Thunderbolts won the last time they faced the Rio Rico Hawks, and things went their way on Thursday too. Mica Mountain secured a 48-44 W over Rio Rico.
Isabella Webb continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last 12 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kayla Mathie, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Mica Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Rio Rico, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mica Mountain will take on Amphitheater at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Kayla Tuakalau and Webb. As for Rio Rico, they will head out on the road to take on Walden Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
