Basketball Game Preview: Braddock Bulldogs vs. Jackson Generals

The Braddock Bulldogs will take on the Jackson Generals at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Braddock will be strutting in after a win while Jackson will be coming in after a loss.

Braddock is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They secured a 72-67 W over Hialeah Gardens on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Jackson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 61-44 to Belen Jesuit. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Wolverines are ranked 102nd).

Braddock will need focus on slowing down Jordany Fils-Aime, one of several Jackson players who made an impact when they last played. He posted nine points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Marioel Jackson, who earned nine points and five rebounds.

Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Braddock, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11.

Braddock won a match that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in January of 2016, slipping by Jackson 50-49. Will Braddock repeat their success, or does Jackson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
