Basketball Recap: Deltona Wolves vs. Matanzas Pirates
Deltona lost against Matanzas back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Deltona Wolves fell 63-54 to the Matanzas Pirates. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Deltona lost, don't look at Xavier Cerrud. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 20 on his way to 21 points along with six boards and four steals. Cerrud's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Deltona's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Matanzas, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Deltona will square off against Father Lopez at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Deltona is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.3 points per game this season. As for Matanzas, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-44 win against Clay on the 13th.
