Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Plateau Valley couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a hard 61-46 fall against the Simla Cubs on Friday. The Cowboys' loss signaled the end of their 23-game winning streak.

Jackson Bevan and Jack Vig certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Bevan almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds, while Vig dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards. Vig is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 19 games he's played.

Simla was led to victory by Caston Cox and Tatum Kocerha. Cox posted 30 points, while Kocerha had 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. With that strong performance, Cox is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. Treven Kocerha was another key player, putting up ten points.

Plateau Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 23-2. As for Simla, the victory was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-2.

Plateau Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 78-52 loss against Bishop Machebeuf on the 15th. As for Simla, they have also already played their next matchup, a 56-51 win against Crowley County on the 15th.
