Volleyball Game Preview: Amundsen Vikings vs. Jones Eagles

The Amundsen Vikings will challenge the Jones Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Amundsen's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Jones has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

Amundsen is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest victory since April 26th on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Hubbard.

Meanwhile, Jones came up short against Deerfield on Saturday and fell 2-0.

Jones' loss dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Amundsen, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Amundsen was able to grind out a solid victory over Jones in their previous matchup back in April, winning 2-0. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
