Pungo Christian Academy not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 19th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Northeast Academy Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Raiders: when they faced off against the Eagles on September 4th, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Pungo Christian Academy didn't let Northeast Academy take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23, 25-22.

Lexy Tate paced Pungo Christian Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Tate got some help from Henly Gibbs and her ten assists. Tate was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Pungo Christian Academy's victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10. As for Northeast Academy, they dropped their record down to 4-13 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Pungo Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Arendell Parrott Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Patriots have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Northeast Academy has already played their next contest (against Community Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
