Baseball Game Preview: Swansea Tigers vs. Horse Creek Academy Stallions

The Swansea Tigers will challenge the Horse Creek Academy Stallions at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Horse Creek Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Swansea, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row dating back to last season, Swansea turned things around against Wagener-Salley on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the War Eagles with a sharp 17-3 victory.

Britt Drawdy made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Drawdy was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

In other batting news, Jacob Harper was a standout: he scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Jacob Hair was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one triple.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Horse Creek Academy's offense. They lost 13-0 to Newberry on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Stallions' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
