Soccer Recap: Goose Creek Takes a Loss

Goose Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cane Bay Cobras. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Cobras are ranked fifth).

Goose Creek's record is now 0-7. As for Cane Bay, their record is now 6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goose Creek will welcome Berkeley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Goose Creek will be up against Berkeley's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.11 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Cane Bay, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wando at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cane Bay is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.
