Volleyball Recap: River Forest Comes Up Short

River Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Whiting Oilers, falling 3-0. The Ingots were not able to make up for their defeat to the Oilers from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-11, 25-7.

Sophia Perez was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 14 digs.

River Forest's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Whiting, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. River Forest will head out to face off against Hobart at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Whiting, they will venture away from home to square off against Calumet Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
