Baseball Recap: Mount View Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

Mount View won the last time they faced Van and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Golden Knights blew past the Bulldogs 11-1. Considering the Golden Knights have won eight matchups by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jacob Wright was incredible, going 2-for-4 with six RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Kyrece Hughes was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.

Mount View has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Van, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-20.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount View will challenge Twin Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Van, they will face off against Mingo Central at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
