Soccer Game Preview: Waynesboro vs. Carlisle

The Waynesboro Indians will face off against the Carlisle Thundering Herd at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Monday, Waynesboro came up short against Spring Grove and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Carlisle fought the good fight in their overtime contest against East Pennsboro on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. Carlisle have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Carlisle's loss dropped their record down to 3-11-3. As for Waynesboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12-1.

Waynesboro beat Carlisle 3-1 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Thundering Herd have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
