Softball Recap: Wednesday's Loss Ends Citrus' Winning Streak

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Citrus's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crystal River Pirates on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Hurricanes' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Citrus saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Briahna Greaux, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

With the defeat, Citrus broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-8. As for Crystal River, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Coming up, Citrus will take on Pasco at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crystal River, they will challenge Springstead at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
