Softball Game Preview: Sage Creek Bobcats vs. El Capitan Vaqueros

The Sage Creek Bobcats will square off against the El Capitan Vaqueros at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Sage Creek's tournament run continued when they took on Eastlake on Friday. The Bobcats fell 9-4 to the Titans. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Torii Ramirez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Lola Carson was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Meanwhile, El Capitan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Santana.

Makenna Burton was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Burton was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

In other batting news, Kylee Frazier made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one double. Trinity Curo also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Sage Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for El Capitan, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
