Softball Recap: Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves vs. Andrew Thunderbolts
Thornton Fractional South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 16-1 walloping at the hands of the Andrew Thunderbolts. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Thornton Fractional South of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
Camilla Rosas was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with a home run.
On Andrew's side, Bella Pauls was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (she also didn't allow any walks). Pauls was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Thornton Fractional South will head out on the road to take on Illinois Lutheran at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Andrew, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Joliet West at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Andrew knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy run totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Joliet West likes a good challenge.
