Soccer Recap: Countryside Comes Up Short

Countryside lost against Dunedin back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Countryside Cougars came up short against the Dunedin Falcons, falling 10-2. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while the Falcons are ranked 97th).

Jazlyn Flynn and Claire Cantin scored both of Countryside's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Countryside now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Dunedin, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Countryside wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, an 8-0 defeat against St. Petersburg on the 11th. Dunedin has also already played their next match, a 1-0 loss against Osceola on the 12th.
