Basketball Game Preview: American Leadership Academy Patriots vs. Strom Thurmond Rebels

The American Leadership Academy Patriots are taking a road trip to take on the Strom Thurmond Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with nine defeats in a row, American Leadership Academy turned things around against Saluda on Tuesday. They walked away with a 41-30 win over the Tigers.

American Leadership Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryce Newton, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makel Hillary, who scored 11 points.

Meanwhile, Strom Thurmond beat South Aiken 51-43 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rebels.

Strom Thurmond has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. As for American Leadership Academy, their record is now 4-11.
