Baseball Game Preview: Jefferson Silver Foxes vs. Chapin Huskies

Jefferson is 2-8 against Chapin since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Silver Foxes will welcome the Huskies at 6:30 p.m.

Things were looking good for Jefferson after they put the first run on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Burges by a score of 4-3.

Eden Perez made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Lares, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last matchup, Chapin made sure to put some runs up on the board against El Paso on Friday. The Huskies put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 11-3 win. The game was the first time the Huskies have beaten the Tigers on their field since April 25, 2023.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Chapin, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-10-1.
