Basketball Recap: Argos Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Argos got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They walked away with a 49-37 win over the Oregon-Davis Bobcats on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Dragons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Argos found their leader in sophomore Zhayne Hellums, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Luke Stults, who went 5 for 10 en route to 13 points and five boards.

Argos' victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-9. As for Oregon-Davis, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Argos will square off against Glenn at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Argos is facing Glenn at the right time seeing as Glenn is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Oregon-Davis, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-27 loss against Winamac on the 18th.
