Volleyball Recap: Vanguard Academy Comes Up Short

Vanguard Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Juab Wasps.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-16, 25-21.

Brayson Taylor paced Vanguard Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Taylor got some help from Ben Kingston and his 16 assists. Taylor was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Vanguard Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Juab, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vanguard Academy will square off against Wasatch Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Juab and American Heritage will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on the 8th.
