If you're going to make it big picking from the 2016 recruiting class, you'd better get a defensive tackle.

Derrick Brown of Lanier (Sugar Hill, Ga.), ranked the eighth-best recruit in the nation by the 247Sports Composite Rankings, made his decision Wednesday, picking Auburn.

The top-ranked player from Georgia recently earned MaxPreps Player of the Year honors and is the Georgia Player of the Year by the Associated Press. Brown is one of four defensive tackles among the top 10 recruits overall, including the top two, Rashan Gary (Paramus Catholic, N.J.) and Dexter Lawrence (Wake Forest, N.C.).

The 6-foot-4, 317-pound standout posted 106 tackles in 2015 with 42 tackles for loss and 12 sacks. Georgia, Auburn and Tennessee were his three college finalists.
