Softball Recap: Spring Valley Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Spring Valley can now relate to. They came up short against the Legacy Longhorns on Thursday, falling 13-3. The Grizzlies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Longhorns earlier this season, when they won 11-6.

Isabella Lenahan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Spring Valley's loss dropped their record down to 19-12. As for Legacy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.

Spring Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Legacy, they will challenge Foothill at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
