San Dieguito Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They beat Hilltop by a goal, winning 3-2. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Mustangs were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Point Loma ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They won by a goal and slipped past Eastlake 2-1. The Pointers didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.

Alejandro Martinez and Ezekiel Varela scored both of Point Loma's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

San Dieguito Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-14 record this season. Point Loma's victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
