Baseball Recap: Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale Bears vs. Pillager Huskies

Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 3-5 in the process. They fell 7-2 to the Pillager Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-7 last Thursday.

As for Pillager, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. That looming 7-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

For Pillager's part, Elliott Imdieke made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.
