Davis faced Syracuse in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Darts narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Titans 1-0. Davis' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matches.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Parker Anderson, who's now up to two this season.

Davis is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five contests. As for Syracuse, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5.

Coming up, Davis will host Fremont at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Syracuse, they will face off against Layton at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Layton's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
