Football Recap: Los Alamitos Starts Season with Victory Against Anaheim

Los Alamitos gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They put the hurt on the Anaheim Colonists with a sharp 27-2 victory. The Griffins not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 16, 2024 (when they won 27-0).

Los Alamitos found their leader in sophomore Ava Seedorf, who threw for 153 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of her passes, and also rushed for 68 yards on only five carries.

Los Alamitos didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jaelyn Guidry, Britton Klaus, and Katelyn Sheffield picked up one apiece. Guidry got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Los Alamitos didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 40-0 win against Mayfair on the 13th. As for Anaheim, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 42-7 loss against Esperanza on the 12th.
