Football Game Preview: Randolph-Henry Statesmen vs. Lunenburg Central Chargers + How To Watch

Randolph-Henry hasn't had much luck against Lunenburg Central recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Statesmen will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chargers at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.

Lunenburg Central will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Randolph-Henry extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Statesmen claimed a resounding 47-6 victory over William Campbell. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-6.

Randolph-Henry found their leader in freshman AJ Walton, who rushed for 127 yards and a pair of scores. Walton was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards.

Randolph-Henry was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 275 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Lunenburg Central against Brunswick two weeks ago as the squad secured a 54-14 win. The victory continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

Lunenburg Central's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Randolph-Henry, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Randolph-Henry was dealt a bruising 41-10 loss at the hands of Lunenburg Central in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Statesmen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
