Basketball Game Preview: Raymond/South Bend Ravens vs. Forks Spartans

Raymond/South Bend is 0-3 against Forks since December of 2023 but things could change on Thursday. The Raymond/South Bend Ravens will head out to square off against the Forks Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Raymond/South Bend is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Chief Leschi for the full four quarters, racking up a 75-18 win. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-6.

Raymond/South Bend's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kassie Koski led the charge by going 8 of 17 on her way to 22 points in addition to six steals and five boards. Ava Pine-Isaksen was another key player, going 7 for 14 en route to 15 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.

Meanwhile, Forks had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Fishermen, posting a 58-28 victory.

Raymond/South Bend is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.9 points per game. As for Forks, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Raymond/South Bend came up short against Forks in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 58-54. Can Raymond/South Bend avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
