            Volleyball Recap: Elgin/Pope John Wolfpack vs. Nebraska Christian Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Elgin/Pope John proved they can win big  on Tuesday (they won by three) and  on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Nebraska Christian Eagles  2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolfpack also won the last time the pair played  back in September of 2024.
 Elgin/Pope John had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-15,  25-19.

 Elgin/Pope John was led to victory by  Elizabeth Moser and  Gentry Zwingman.  Moser  had 13  assists and ten  digs, while  Zwingman  had 13  digs and two  aces. Those  two  aces gave  Zwingman a new career-high.
Elgin/Pope John's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Nebraska Christian,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 10-4.
 Coincidentally, Elgin/Pope John and Nebraska Christian will both be playing Riverside the next time they take the court. The Wolfpack will  host the Chargers at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 7:00  p.m.
