Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monticello). They breezed by the Louisa County Lions to the tune of 66-37 on Tuesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Mustangs with their most commanding win of the season.

Monticello had a senior duo take command as Shameil Harris went 7 of 13 on his way to 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals and Sam Messinger went 8 for 15 en route to 18 points in addition to five boards and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harris has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brady Davis, who posted seven points and three steals.

Monticello now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Louisa County, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-19.

Monticello will venture away from home to challenge Western Albemarle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Western Albemarle's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups. As for Louisa County, they will be playing at home against Goochland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
