Softball Recap: Spring Valley Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Spring Valley's offense. They lost 12-0 to the Glenwood City Hilltoppers on Monday. The defeat leaves the Cardinals still looking for their first win of the season.

Spring Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reese Vivoda, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Spring Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Glenwood City, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Spring Valley is taking a road trip to take on Pepin/Alma at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pepin/Alma's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Spring Valley's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Glenwood City, they will square off against Boyceville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
