Basketball Recap: Borah Falls Short Against Ranked Boise

On Saturday, Borah faced Boise in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Borah Lions took a 49-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boise Brave. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Brave: they've now lost seven in a row.

Despite the loss, Borah saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kya Davis went 6-for-14 en route to 16 points. Karli Hall was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Borah's defeat dropped their record down to 18-5. As for Boise, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 20-3.

Borah wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-52 victory against Timberline on the 11th. As for Boise, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-48 win against Eagle on the 12th.
