Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of CIARA FRANCOIS and KELSI AQUAS Lead Palm Beach Central to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Somerset Academy - Canyons, Palm Beach Central was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Palm Beach Lakes Rams as the Palm Beach Central Broncos made off with a 25-0 victory. Given the Broncos' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Rams are ranked 134th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Palm Beach Central was led to victory by KELSI AQUAS and CIARA FRANCOIS. AQUAS threw for 270 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72% of her passes, while FRANCOIS gained 115 total yards and a touchdown. FRANCOIS also deserves a shoutout for her performance on D, making five total tackles and defending two passes.

Palm Beach Central's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 1.8 points on average over those games. As for Palm Beach Lakes, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
