Beachside saw some tournament action on Thursday. They rang in the new year with a 62-54 victory over the Bishop Moore Hornets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Barracudas.

Beachside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sammy Oliver, who went 10 for 17 en route to 26 points and six assists. Oliver continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeevan Iyengar, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 13 points and four steals.

Despite the loss, Bishop Moore still got an impressive performance from Juelz Nu?ez, who posted 20 points. Connor Corris was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Beachside has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Bishop Moore, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
