Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakeland). They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Mulberry Panthers 87-25. Given the Dreadnaughts' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while the Panthers are ranked 680th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lakeland's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-5. As for Mulberry, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeland won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Sebring at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mulberry, they will host Fort Meade at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
