Monroe Catholic is 9-1 against Delta since May of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Rams will look to defend their home field against the Huskies at 3:30 p.m. Monroe Catholic is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Monroe Catholic is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Palmer, who was ranked seventh at the time (Monroe Catholic was ranked 20th). The Rams never let the Moose get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Thursday. The Rams' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three contests.

The result came thanks to Brian Bast's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Monroe Catholic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gage Goble, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Delta never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Hutchison last Saturday. They put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 19-12 win.

The victory got Delta back to even at 1-1. As for Monroe Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 5-6-1.
