Soccer Game Preview: Union County vs. Chapman

Union County hasn't had much luck against Chapman recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets will look to defend their home pitch against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Union County barely beat Broome the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Yellowjackets' defense stepped up to hand the Centurions a 3-0 shutout on Friday. That's two games straight that Union County have won by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, Chapman's matchup on Friday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Mountain View Prep. Considering Chapman have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Union County and bumps their season record up to 3-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two games. As for Chapman, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.
