Football Game Preview: Margaretta Polar Bears vs. Woodmore Wildcats

The Margaretta Polar Bears will venture away from home to face off against the Woodmore Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Margaretta sitting on four straight wins and Woodmore on five.

Margaretta is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Northwood 49-14. The result was nothing new for the Polar Bears, who have now won four contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Woodmore took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 62-20 victory over Willard. The Wildcats are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the fifth matchup they've won by 20+ points this season.

Margaretta's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Woodmore, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Margaretta strolled past Woodmore when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a score of 26-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Polar Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
